When life gets hectic, you need to get into nature and explore what this beautiful planet offers to us. The only thing better than taking an adventure outdoors? Taking it with the one you love.
My boyfriend, Kyler and I drove down to the beautiful Mystic beach, which coincides with the famous Juan de Fuca trail here on the island. Out of choice, I brought shoes which definitely were not proper trail walking shoes (slip on beach shoes), however, the beauty surrounding us sort of took away from the blisters on my ankles.
For snacks we brought fruit and clif bars, and let me tell you, the sierra trail mix one? Amazing.
If you ever plan on making a trip to Vancouver Island, definitely check out some of the beaches just off the JDF trail and you'll definitely be pleasantly surprised.
